If you’re already proficient in both English and
Spanish, UTB/TSC has an exciting way to make you more marketable at
the same time you’re making yourself more knowledgeable here at
college. Beginning this academic year, you’ll have the opportunity to
receive dual language certification through our new Dual Language
Program.
For most students the program
won’t involve any additional coursework. All the classes you need are
part of the General Education Core curriculum—classes you’re already
required to take.

All you need to do to receive
Dual Language Certification is take 15 credit hours in Spanish—SPAN
2321 and SPAN 2322, plus an additional 9 hours—while maintaining an
overall 2.8 grade point average in them.
Students who successfully
complete the Dual Language Certification Program will have it noted on
their transcripts and will receive a special seal on their diplomas.
