Celebrate Patron of the Arts’ 18th season.

Since its inception in 1984, the Patron of the Arts program at UTB/TSC continually provides the Rio Grande Valley and Northern Mexico with the finest artistic and musical talent from around the world featuring artists from Mexico, Czech Republic, and major cities from the United States, such as Los Angeles and Ann Arbor, Michigan, as well as our finest regional artists and music and art faculty.  We present classical music from the Renaissance to the Modern Era, as well as jazz, popular music and the folkloric music from Mexico and Latin America.  There are forty scheduled music events this season.

Our art offerings are greatly expanded with six exhibitions alone scheduled for our Fall season.  One of the artists, Ray Burggraf, is internationally renowned.  Another artist, Rolando Reyna, is featured in a comprehensive sculpture guide from the UT Press, and Javier Dragustinovis is a renowned artist from Mexico.  For the first time, one of our exhibitions, “Recuerdos del Mundo Maya”, will be presented at the Alonso Building.

We look forward to seeing you at our events.  Thank you for supporting the arts in Brownsville.
